Concert of the new generation of creators as part of Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union
With Against, lovemusic highlights musical creation by young artists from northeastern Europe, primarily from Poland – the country that will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from January to June 2025.
Borrowing from Kuba Krzewiński's piece Against, this program presents five works for violin, viola, cello, and electronics, which revolve around this word that can signify both opposition and proximity and contact. Whether through the de(con)struction of a Polish folk song by Anna Sowa, the friction of sounds and textures in the pieces by Martyna Kosecka and Aleksandra Słyż, the bow hairs directly glued to the musicians' arms in Asia Ahmetjanova's trio, or even the play of the body as instrument and instrument as body by Kuba Krzewiński, all these approaches and aesthetics play with distance and closeness, opposites and similarities.
Against offers an immersive experience where the works unfold in contrasting tableaux between minimalist, repetitive, electronic music and physical performance, transforming listening into a multisensory experience. Resolutely experimental, Against invites us to break free from conventions and enter a liberating parenthesis, far from the rhythm of everyday life.

Concert de la nouvelle génération de créateur•trice•s dans le cadre de la présidence de la Pologne au Conseil de l’Union Européenne
Avec Contre, lovemusic met en lumière la création musicale de jeunes artistes venant du nord-est de l’Europe, principalement de Pologne – pays qui assurera la présidence du Conseil de l’Union européenne de janvier à juin 2025.
Empruntant à Kuba Krzewiński le titre de sa pièce Contre, ce programme présente cinq œuvres pour violon, alto, violoncelle et électronique, qui s’articulent autour de ce mot qui peut aussi bien signifier l’opposition que la proximité et le contact. Que ce soit à travers la dé(con)struction d’un chant populaire polonais chez Anna Sowa, la friction de sonorités et textures dans les pièces de Martyna Kosecka et Aleksandra Słyż, les crins d’archets directement collés au bras des musiciennes dans le trio de Asia Ahmetjanova ou même le jeu du corps comme instrument et de l’instrument comme corps par Kuba Krzewiński, toutes ces approches et esthétiques jouent sur l’éloignement et le rapprochement, les contraires et les ressemblances.
Contre offre une expérience immersive où les œuvres déploient des tableaux contrastés entre musique minimaliste, répétitive, électronique et performance physique, transformant l’écoute en une expérience multisensorielle. Résolument expérimental, Contre invite à sortir des conventions pour entrer dans une parenthèse libératrice, loin du rythme du quotidien.
