The piece is a homage to L. van Beethoven.
As in the creation of a fragrance, it is an attempt to analyze the various essential oils of Beethovenian ideas under microscopic conditions and to create a composition of it.
Some molecules move quietly and attentively close to the skin, but are confronted with the freshness of the warmer tones.
The string instruments transform into brass, harps, and high woodwinds. Double basses and piano enlarge the space and form a sonic reinforcement or a percussive counterpoint to the narrative with simple means.
The fragrances and images alternate the temperatures and change the scale of perspective.
What remains under the skin? Is it still a hint of Beethoven or a universal hope for the great ideas of Humanism?

Das Stück ist eine Hommage an L. van Beethoven. Wie bei der Schaffung eines Duftes, ist es ein Versuch, die verschiedenen ätherischen Öle der Beethoven'schen Ideen unter mikroskopischen Bedingungen zu analysieren und daraus eine Komposition zu erstellen. Einige Moleküle bewegen sich leise und aufmerksam nahe an der Haut, werden jedoch mit der Frische der wärmeren Töne konfrontiert. Die Streichinstrumente verwandeln sich in Blechbläser, Harfen und hohe Holzbläser. Kontrabässe und Klavier vergrößern den Raum und bilden eine klangliche Verstärkung oder ein perkussives Gegengewicht zur Erzählung mit einfachen Mitteln. Die Düfte und Bilder wechseln die Temperaturen und ändern die Massstabsperspektive. Was bleibt unter der Haut? Ist es noch ein Hauch von Beethoven oder eine universelle Hoffnung auf die großen Ideen des Humanismus?
